The Venture Dorm Business Startup Program is now accepting applications in the Barossa-Yorke-Mid North
region. If you’ve got a business idea you’d like to work on, this award-winning 8-week program is the right
place for you to begin.

Last year was the first time Venture Dorm was delivered in the Barossa-Yorke-Mid North region, and
businesses ranging from marketing, events, tourism, eco-conscious services, food production and more
completed the program, with exciting results.
In 2020, Venture Dorm is back. Learn entrepreneurial skills that align with the growth of your idea. Get
connected with an expert facilitator, mentors and other founders from a variety of business backgrounds to
help you along the way. It’s an immersive, experiential and fun program that works for any business type, in
any sector. In eight weeks, you will:
• Define your idea and develop a viable, sustainable business model
• Test and validate your venture in the real world
• Hone your pitching skills, ready for audiences beyond the program
• Learn how to recognise and define the impact of your venture
• Engage and network with like-minded founders and experienced mentors
WHEN: Every Wednesday from 6-9pm, starting September 16th through November 4
DELIVERY: The program will be delivered using a blended virtual and in-person model. This will allow
founders from across the region to participate more easily, while also allowing a broader range of mentors
from across Australia to engage with the founders.
WHERE: All sessions will be delivered using video conferencing, with the facilitator delivering three in-person
sessions on select weeks at the Barossa Campus in Nuriootpa.
COST: This program is valued at $995 per participant or business team; but fully sponsored places are
available for those starting a new business through our Entrepreneurship Facilitator Services program funded
by the Australian Government’s Department of Education, Skills and Employment, as well as our partnership
with Regional Development Australia Barossa Gawler Light Adelaide Plains.
