Kelly-Anne Saffin named joint winner of the Local Government Association of South Australia’s Jim Hullick Award

Congratulations to our CEO, Kelly-Anne Saffin on being named joint winner of the Local Government Association of South Australia’s Jim Hullick Award. The award celebrates strong partnerships between federal, state, and local government and recognises leaders in their communities.

Kelly-Anne was acknowledged for her work as the driving force behind the delivery of the ‘Remarkable Southern Flinders’ adventure tourism project.

The Remarkable Southern Flinders Project is a partnership between the Commonwealth and State Governments, who are each investing $5M to open up new public lands to create a total of 30000 hectares of Southern Flinders National Parks. The project’s partners include Department do Environment and Water, District Council of Mount Remarkable, Port Pirie Regional Council, Northern Areas Council, Foundation for National Parks and Wildlife, Landscapes Northern and Yorke and Nukunu Wampa Thura Aboriginal Corporation.

Congratulations to joint winner Senior Sergeant First Class Russell Dippy CStJ LEM CEM TQC FAcEM, of South Australia Police, who was recognised for his role working closely with SA Councils on emergency management through bushfires and COVID-19.
