An exciting afternoon last Thursday as our fifteen Heavy Industry and Multi Skills (HIMS) students celebrated their graduation.
The HIMS program is an innovative pre-employment program like no other, providing tailored solutions to address barriers to employment for local job seekers.
A partnership between TAFE SA, seven local employers and funded by the Australian Government Department of Employment and Workplace Relations through the Local Jobs Program, this course provided industry exposure, accredited training and soft skill development activities.
One student commented on the positive impact it had, thankful for the experience, support and newfound friendship that were established due to the course.
