GPA Training is an online safety program initiative from Grain Producers Australia. It offers different safety training courses, specifically targeted at farmers and their businesses but also relevant for people seeking to enter work in the sector. For new entrants the ‘Farm Worker Harvest Ready’ course was developed to give first time workers a taste of what working on a grain farm during harvest is all about. It includes video and interviews with workers on the job and is suited to someone who has never been exposed to agriculture.
The training programs are designed by growers and experienced industry professionals, specifically with the needs of farmers in mind, to make it user-friendly and efficient and to save time and reduce costly red tape.
