Working on a casual basis, you will assist with providing a timely, efficient and effective housekeeping service for the Port Pirie Regional Health Service. Maintaining a high level of cleanliness throughout the health service, you will undertake mopping, dusting, polishing, washing, sweeping and vacuuming of floors, window cleaning, cleaning of toilets, bed making, and rubbish collection, removal and disposal. With limited experience in the areas of housekeeping, you will need to have basic knowledge of safe working conditions and a commitment to providing high quality customer service. With a flexible approach to work and rostering systems, you will be able to work alone or within a team environment, and work within set timeframes. You will be willing to provide assistance and cooperation to other staff, and perform under general direction or work under limited supervision. At all times you will be committed to using discretion and maintaining strict confidentiality.

Port Pirie Hospital has 53 acute beds. Services offered include 24-hours accident and emergency, acute and general medical services, chemotherapy, medical imaging, surgical services, obstetric and maternity care, palliative care, on site pharmacy, Renal Dialysis and outpatient clinics.
Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Screening/Check and specific immunisation requirements. COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement under the Emergency Management (Healthcare Setting Workers Vaccination) (COVID-19) Directions 2021 to work in SA Health/health care setting.
