The Gambling Help Services aims to support those affected by problem gambling through counselling sessions tailored to client needs, community education, development of networks and the development of collaborative relationships with venues and industry representatives.
The Gambling Help Service provides case management, support and education to those affected by problem gambling and experiencing a range of issues and challenges.
The Gambling Help Counsellor will ensure, using their counselling skills that their customers are supported to achieve best outcomes. They will work in accordance with the philosophies of Uniting Country SA, and actively support positive change within disadvantages communities and individuals.
- Have a high level of communication skills, including the ability to establish rapport and maintaining a positive relationship with clients

- Promote our help service throughout the region
It is essential for you to have:
- Current Australian Drivers Licence
- Certificate lV (or above) in a Human Services related discipline e.g. Community Services, Case Management, Disability, Mental Health, Youth Work, etc
- Relevant experience, in a paid or voluntary capacity
A Diploma of Community Service (Financial Counselling) will be highly regarded, but is not essential. A tertiary qualification in a Human Services related discipline e.g. Social Work will be highly regarded. You may also need to be available for some out of hours work and travel between Uniting Country SA sites or interstate as required.
