Yorke & Lower North Community Health

As a Clinical Nurse in Community Health Nursing, you will provide advanced nursing services in primary health care for the Yorke & Northern community. Developing, implementing and evaluating strategies and programs in order to achieve the optimal health outcomes for community health clients, you will undertake nursing rounds as well as providing direct nursing care to palliative care clients and supporting carers and families in the community setting when entering the terminal phase. You will be accountable for your own practice standards, activities delegated to others and for the guidance and development of less experienced staff. You will be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate.  With demonstrated competence in the relevant area of community nursing in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice, you will have experience in providing palliative care services. Along with your technical nursing skills, you will also bring experience in the leadership and direction of student nurses, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses.

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Screening/Check and specific immunisation requirements.
