This important role is a key pillar to driving growth in one of Australia’s most premium wine brands. The Cellar Door Manager is responsible for a team of four to undertake the marketing and sales objectives of the Kilikanoon Cellar Door. This role manages the daily operation of the Cellar Door leading to the achievement of established financial and cellar club acquisition goals providing a rich consumer experience, building on consumer loyalty.

You will interact with our existing customers and potential acquisitions at cellar door while also working closely with Kilikanoon Sales, Marketing, Wine Club, and the management team. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, tech-savvy, have a can-do attitude and be willing to participate as an active member of a small team. You should be comfortable speaking with colleagues and customers on the phone or in person and have established customer relationship management skills via core cloud-based systems (Shopify and Hubspot).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a cellar door team of four people
  • Execution of brand strategy with the team ensuring our customers have a unique and on- brand experience at our brand home
  • Leverage data collected through customer interaction to execute sales strategies via face to face, email, and phone to generate incremental sales
  • Generate monthly reports and analysis of program metrics to track cellar door effectiveness and growth
  • Manage all aspects of visitor cellar door experience
  • Develop new ideas to keep in contact and encourage positive relationships with wine club member
  • Partner with marketing on new releases, developing and executing the sales strategy to wine club members supporting sales goals
  • Support the wine club referral program, to ensure prospective members are contacted in a timely manner
  • Participate in the planning, organizing and execution of club releases and member loyalty events at Cellar Door
  • Interacts with cellar door staff and consumers to ensure effective communications of brand programs and benefits
  • Oversee product inventories, ensuring adequate stock is available to satisfy consumer demand
  • POS Invoice importing, stock control & and any relevant accounts reconciliation
  • Monthly sales
  • Hosting trade & VIP customers as required
  • Running tasting events for Club Members as required at cellar door and occasionally off site
  • Promotion / Merchandising (in collaboration with Marketing)
  • Ensure Kilikanoon complies with all relevant state and federal laws including, but not limited to, the responsible service of alcohol and Covid-19 protocols

Skills Required:

  • Wine industry experience
  • Sales and direct marketing experience
  • Experience with cloud-based CRM systems: Shopify and Hubspot
  • Numerate with strong organisational skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills with a clear calm manner, comfortable talking on the phone and in person
  • Customer centric focus & Conflict resolution skills
  • Friendly, outgoing, and motivated

Flexible Working:

Working hours are generally between 9:00am and 6:00pm, with overtime work if necessary. General work revolves around 20 days each 4-week cycle.

Location:

Based at Kilikanoon Cellar Door, 30 Penna Lane Penwortham, Clare Valley, South Australia.

Remuneration:

Based on skills and experience.
