Overview

We have a fantastic leadership opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse, in the role of Associate Nurse Unit Manager, at Yorketown Hospital.

Yorketown Hospital (Southern Yorke Peninsula Health Service) offers health services to the wider community encompassing nearby seaside towns and townships on the lower Yorke Peninsula. Services offered include 24-hour accident and emergency, acute medical services (26 acute beds), palliative care, and colonoscopy day procedure.

The Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM), apart from primarily providing nursing and/or midwifery services, provides support to the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) or equivalent in the leadership of nurses in the health service.

You will be expected to undertake a portfolio within which you will:

  • promote continuity and consistency of care in collaboration with other ANUMs and the NUM or equivalent;
  • assist the NUM in implementing practice changes; and
  • assist the NUM in management responsibilities, e.g. performance management processes, recruitment, staffing, leave management, rostering, work allocation and attendance management, financial and supplies planning and monitoring.

You must be registered as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and holds a current practicing certificate, with at least 3 years post registration experience or currently classified as a clinical Nurse/Midwife.

This is a part time vacancy, working 56 hours per fortnight and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.
