Community Builders Webinar Series
August 13, 2020 @ 12:00 am
Rural Aid invites you to participate in the Community Builders Series of free webinars, supporting small towns in rural and remote Australia. These weekly-run webinars are held at 4pm AEST every Thursday from 6 August 2020 throughout August.
The free webinar series, sponsored by Bushells, was created during the early months of Covid-19 restrictions to support small towns in rural and remote Australia in developing stronger futures in the face of adversity. The popular series ran for 10 weeks during the initial lockdown and featured Shane Fitzsimmons – NSW Resilience Commissioner, tourism initiatives in North Queensland, community building in Victoria and Tasmania, youth leadership in Western Australia and case studies of small towns delivering renewal and reinvention with phenomenal results. The theme of Rural Aid’s August series is Tales and Lessons from Strong, Enterprising and Sustainable Rural Towns; hosted by Peter Kenyon of Bank of I.D.E.As and presenter Lyndsey Douglas.
The webinars are free, but limited to 500 participants.
